However, an equestrian real estate property is different from the regular homes that you have. It is not just about having vast lands where you can ride like crazy all the time. Aside from your house and the vast lands, you would also have to look into the welfare of your horses. Humans and horses vary in their requirements for rearing. Therefore, you should have all the things needed to make a favorable condition for horses.

This is what a equestrian real property should be all about.

Equestrian real properties is composed of various structures and landforms. It is like a residential home and a farm in one. However, it is built primarily for breeding horses, training them and of course, training the equestrian. Properties of this kind are usually pricey. However, it is advantageous because of it is a good investment and you will be having an eco-friendly environment as a home.

So if you want a good-quality equestrian real estate property, below are some of the things you should be looking into:

Topography

You want to have vast lands so that you can have enough space to perform your horse activities. You also want enough land where you can build your structures for breeding and rearing your horses. There should also have quality grass (not weeds!) for proper grazing. Experts in equine breeding prefer rolling lands to flat lands. This is because it avoids build up of muddy areas in the property every after rainfall or a storm.

Water Supply

Since the land is big and full of greenery, it is important that the property has fresh water supply. Make sure it is clean and cool. Horses need water. According to equine experts, horses require as much as 68 Liters of water every day. Therefore, it is important to consider these needs, if you want to have healthy horses.

Fresh water supply is not only for horses. It is also needed for irrigation. If you want a more effective irrigation and if you want to maintain the subsistence of your landscape, there should be limitless water supply.

Accessible Quality Roads

Look for equestrian properties that have properly built roads. Yes, these properties may have rough roads. However, areas where people and vehicles enter should be of good quality. You want to have convenience in transporting goods and animals. You also want to have convenience whether you will be going in or out of the property. There is a huge difference in the quality of lifestyle between having bumpy roads and a well-maintained pathway.

Fencing

You do not want to lose horses, right? Then, look for properties that are properly fenced. You want your horses to wander around your property and not somebody else’s. Proper fencing would also secure your horses and it minimizes the chances of being stolen. Besides, you will eventually fence a property without a fence. So why not look for one that already has it and save yourself a great deal of time and effort.
